CONTEXT

The University of Lausanne (UNIL) created the Research Service in 2001. The mission of the service is to support the researchers of the seven faculties of the university in the search for funding, the realisation of projects and their scientific valorisation.

ACHIEVEMENTS

1. Support in the implementation of a responsibility matrix and a project portfolio management tool.
2. Facilitation of team and collaborative working sessions (shared governance).

Julian Randall, Head of Research Service

Philippe’s natural authority, based on his experience, helped the Service de Recherche develop resource management tools in a collaborative context. He was especially effective in many ways, such as guiding the group towards optimal levels of detail that the tools should include.
