CIRCULAR PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Combining predictive and agile approaches to fit the reality of each project.
Some projects can be largely defined and planned from the start. Others need to progress gradually and adapt continuously. Many sit somewhere in between.
Circular Project Management (CPM) is a method developed in the Prefix incubator to combine predictive and agile approaches within a single framework.
A method that adapts to the project
CPM uses a common lifecycle to frame, plan, manage and close a project. Within this framework, practices and tools are adapted to the context.
A project can therefore be managed using a largely predictive approach, a largely agile one or a combination of both, without changing methods.
A common toolbox
CPM brings together the main tools needed to manage a project from start to finish: project framing, work breakdown, planning, budgeting, monitoring and retrospectives, as well as requirements and risk management for more complex projects.
The aim is not to use everything, but to choose the tools that genuinely add value to the project.
A mature solution from the Prefix incubator
Developed and used by Prefix for several years, Circular Project Management is now a mature solution from our incubator and provides the foundation for our project management training.
