Mentoring and workshops to support evolving ways of working.

Context

Prefix has worked with Réseau Santé Nord Broye in two different contexts.

One assignment involved the on-call medical service, mentoring a manager who had recently taken on a new role. The aim was to help her structure her activities and put in place the management tools she needed for her new responsibilities.

A second assignment involved around ten members of the Mobile Palliative Care Team. The work focused on very practical aspects of working together: making decisions collectively, clarifying how certain things should work and exploring new ways of working.

Our work

For the on-call medical service, Prefix provided mentoring, working directly with the situations the manager encountered and the tools she needed in her role.

With the Mobile Palliative Care Team, several workshops provided a space to work collectively on real situations and put some shared governance tools into practice.

Rather than approaching these practices only in theory, the team was able to try them out in its own context, particularly around decision-making and defining how it wanted to work together.

These two assignments illustrate different ways of supporting evolution: helping someone grow into new responsibilities, or creating a space where a team can experiment with new practices together.
